Research
I am technically responsible for the National Laboratory of Science, Technology and Integrated Water Management (LNAGUA), and works in coordination with researchers from UST Korea, UNAM Mexico, and BARC India. My research group is responsible for developing strategies for the decontamination of air and wastewater. The group is focused on emerging pollutants as well as pesticides, dyes, volatile pollutants, among others.
Moreover, at the LNAGUA, we develop different types of materials such as membranes, nanomaterials, biomaterials, MOFs, among others, for the removal of heavy materials, dyes, emerging pollutants, arsenic, fluorine, etc., as well as catalytic oxidation processes. The group has found a new interest in the removal of toxic acidic gases in collaboration with UNAM, Mexico.
